Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov put the US military campaign in Afghanistan in one row with Western interventions in Iraq, Libya and Syria, noting that all of them did not lead to anything good.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Austrian counterpart, Alexander Schallenberg, on Wednesday, Lavrov said, "The United States can draw conclusions from what eventually happened in Afghanistan." Perhaps the most important conclusion is that there is no need to teach life to anyone, especially to force him (to) by force."
Lavrov cited the examples of Iraq, Libya and Syria, where "the Americans wanted to force everyone to live in a way that they saw fit."
He continued, "I have called 4 military campaigns that did not lead to anything good. There was only an explosion of terrorism and in some cases drug smuggling, and the flows of illegal immigrants filled Europe immediately after NATO destroyed the Libyan state with raids." Ended 29/A43
