    Yesterday, Tuesday, the Council of Ministers issued a package of decisions to develop the oil and electric energy sectors, while Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi stressed the importance of laying the foundation for the establishment of the Generations Fund, while the spokesman for the Council, Hassan Nazim, announced that the Baghdad conference for neighboring countries will be held next Saturday.
    The council, in its regular session chaired by Al-Kazemi yesterday, discussed the developments in the country, and issued a package of decisions related to the oil and electricity sectors. During the session, Al-Kazemi referred to the Baghdad conference, which will be the culmination of Iraq's diplomatic efforts, and indicated that the government had completed all the requirements for holding the upcoming elections.
    The Council approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy (109 for the year 2021) on the subject of restructuring the participation of BP and Petrogina in the service contract for the Rumaila field / Basra Oil Company.
    The Council also issued a number of decisions related to the electricity sector, as follows: Preparing a draft law to amend the name of the Ministry of Electricity to be (Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy), referring it to the House of Representatives, and approving the establishment of a public company in the name of (The General Company for Middle Euphrates Electricity Distribution).
