On Thursday, the Ministry of Communications revealed the advantages of the optical cable file, while commenting on internet prices and the possibility of providing job opportunities.

Ministry spokesman, Raad al-Mashhadani, told the official agency, and “Nas” followed him (August 26, 2021), that “work with the optical cable file is still in place, and the ministry is waiting to refer it to major companies in order to start work,” noting that “it will provide new features for citizens from Including the high definition of the Internet, as well as speed, ease of carrying games, and clarity of sound and image.  
He added that "this file will provide great job opportunities for the unemployed youth, as the Minister of Communications, Arkan Shehab, will impose the Iraqi workforce on all the companies contracting with it," noting that "this file will improve the Internet service, as is the case in neighboring countries."  
He pointed out that "the issue of reducing or raising Internet service wages does not exist at the present time, since the ministry deals in Iraqi dinars according to the law of the Iraqi Republic and does not have any dealings in the dollar currency, and this matter applies even to dealing with companies contracting with it."
