[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The Parliamentary Oil and Energy Affairs Committee called on Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to open an investigation into the issue of granting all contracts of the Projects Department in the Ministry of Oil to foreign companies without granting any opportunities to Iraqi competencies.
Member of the committee, MP Amjad Al-Uqabi, said, in a press statement, that "there are figures in the Ministry of Oil who seek to discredit the projects department in the ministry by contracting with foreign companies without paying any attention to the situation of engineers and their difficult living conditions, despite the numerous demonstrations they went out to demand appointment and rights." Noting that "these influential personalities are working to grant most of the projects to foreign companies, without giving any opportunities to the Iraqi competencies who have the ability and the possibility to implement all projects with the highest results and the lowest costs."
He added, "The excuses made by these parties, that the Iraqi engineer is sluggish and the work he is doing is inaccurate, is incorrect, because the achievements of the Iraqi engineer are clear evidence of the Iraqi ability in various fields," calling on the Prime Minister to intervene in this file personally and open an investigation to find out the reasons These actions and the accountability of those involved in them, on the grounds that they include a blow to the Iraqi competencies and include suspicions of corruption.” / End 5[/rtl]
