, Adviser to the President of the Republic, Ismail Al-Hadidi, announced, on Sunday, the completion of all proposals to amend the constitution, indicating that these proposals were confirmed by the Presidency of the Republic.
Al-Hadidi said, in a statement received by Mawazine News, a copy of it, that "the constitutional amendments committee, which was selected from legal and constitutional figures interested in Iraqi affairs and from all parties, in addition to the governorates' contribution to the constitutional amendments process," noting, that "this committee was formed in the Presidency of the Republic.
He added, "The committee completed all the proposals and worked on the controversial articles. The proposals were submitted and were confirmed in the Presidency of the Republic," noting that "there are other committees in the Prime Minister's office that are interested in the same matter."
He continued, "There must be a legislative law that goes to the House of Representatives, and this is a proposed law with the prime minister."
On the other hand, Al-Hadidi explained, "There must be controls for the future electoral behavior of the electoral process in the October elections between the political forces and the parties concerned in this matter, and those controls shall be agreed controls to be written down."
And he indicated that "the Presidency of the Republic is working with all seriousness to make the electoral process successful and maintain the transparency and integrity of the elections in order to produce real results away from fraud," noting that "all political forces must be involved to set controls and behavior among all parties to preserve the spirit and essence of this electoral process for its success."
