The Ministry of Transport / the General Company for Ports of Iraq received, on Sunday, seven oil tankers docked at the berths of the Khor Al-Zubair Specialized Port, in the south of Basra Governorate.
The Director-General of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartousi, said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of it, that the port of Khor Al-Zubair is witnessing an active movement in its oil exports.
He added, that this came as a result of the support and directives of the Minister of Transport, Captain Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli, by transforming the port into a specialized port that works on importing and exporting petroleum products, in addition to its work in receiving cargo ships and containers.
In the statement, Al-Fartousi noted that "the port received seven oil tankers with various tonnages, including gas oil, gasoline and fuel oil, as well as VIankoot and naphthah materials.
The statement concluded, "The unloading, loading, docking and take-off operations took place in cooperation and coordination between the port administration and maritime navigation." Ended 29/R77
