Deputy: Rising prices cast a shadow over millions of poor
Member of Parliament, Manar Abdel Muttalib, warned, on Monday, of the consequences of the crisis of the dollar's exchange rate on the poor, noting that the rise in prices casts a shadow over millions of citizens .
She said that "the crisis of continuing to raise the exchange rate of the dollar is casting a shadow over the poor and toiling segment in Iraq," stressing the need for "there to be real treatments for this matter ."
She added that "the rise in prices and the economic crisis that the country is witnessing is killing the poor and toiling classes," pointing out that "the poor themselves are threatened by becoming below the poverty line
