Yesterday, Monday, the Integrity Commission revealed that it had seized cases of fraud and theft of fuel during its transfer to electric power plants.
The Investigation Department stated in a statement that Al-Mada received a copy of it, that “the Nineveh Investigation Directorate, in cooperation with the Directorate of Oil Police and the security authorities in the province, has seized cases of fraud in the documents of loading two tanks to the Qayyarah gas station,” indicating that “the two tanks are not registered to enter. The station may unload the cargo more than once, despite the claim that the product was inspected, received and unloaded inside the station.”
The department added, "The investigation and information-gathering procedures carried out by the directorate led to the discovery that the two tankers did not enter the station, in addition to noting violations represented by the station management entering and unloading the tanks without receiving the loading lists from the equipped refineries, which are both the Baiji and Kirkuk refineries." .
She pointed out that "the violations also included overlooking the proven deficiencies in the loading (buoys) and the weighing certificate with the real weight, and the failure to perform the daily matching in the station's calculator of the received fuel and scanning the cameras' recordings," pointing to "the seizure of a tank loaded with gas oil; There is a large shortage of it, and it was noted that there was a shortage ranging between (4000-5000) liters from each car during the transfer of oil from the refineries to the station, and the oil bagging staff at the station calculated the quantity without mentioning the shortage.”
The department stated that “a fundamentalist seizure report was organized with the seized items and presented, along with the criminal evidence, to the judge of the Mosul Investigation Court, which is specialized in oil smuggling cases, who decided to seize the weighing officer, examining the records, the unloading officer at the Qayyarah gas station, the Research and Quality Control Committee, as well as the driver of one of the tanks.” .
