The Iraqi ambassador to Jordan, Haider Al-Adhari, said that the Iraqi government has received contracts submitted by companies in the field of laying the Basra-Aqaba oil pipeline, and they are currently in the process of being studied .
Al-Adhari stated, "The electrical connection, after the agreement was signed by the Iraqi side in Baghdad, and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati, practical and actual steps regarding the electrical connection began to supply Jordanian electricity to Iraq ."
Al-Adari explained that “the volume of trade exchange during the last 11 months of 2020 was about 448 million Jordanian dinars,” stressing that there is “an intention to expand the volume of trade exchange, especially after allowing Iraqi and Jordanian truck drivers to transport goods according to the door to door system after it was back to back.” due to the Corona pandemic .
He pointed out that "Royal Jordanian Airlines soon announced facilitating the entry of Iraqi patients for treatment purposes to Jordan by granting them entry visas at the airport on terms that were announced, and the Jordanian side gave directions to its embassy in Baghdad to make a list of Iraqi businessmen and investors wishing to visit Jordan to grant them multiple entry visas. " .
He added, "We hoped to facilitate the procedures for granting entry visas to Iraqis. "
