A number of farmers in the Al-Maliha area of Al-Musharrah district in Maysan demanded the central government to pay their overdue compensation since 2018.
A number of farmers told the Mawazine News correspondent in the governorate, "The money allocated to them as compensation for the damages caused to their lands. And their calm role as a result of the flood wave that swept the governorate in 2018, has not been spent so far.”
The farmers added that "the district administration sent the lists and counted the affected lands in a timely manner, but there was a delay in delivering these allocations for unknown reasons."
The farmers called on the central government to compensate those affected and to disburse the money, which was late for 3 years. Ended 29/A 4
