    A member of the House of Representatives, Representative Jamal Al-Muhammadawi, confirmed that his efforts and moves in parliament and the public were successful after the Council of Ministers voted to re-work the scientific and literary branches in the middle school. Al-Muhammadawi said in a press statement, "We have diagnosed from the beginning the state of confusion in the educational process with regard to middle school after decisions that were inappropriate for the Iraqi situation when the Ministry of Education introduced the biological and applied system in the year 2015-2016." He continued, "We tried to conduct treatments by drawing the attention of those in charge of the Ministry of Education to the seriousness of this issue and the extent of its impact on the future of future generations, and we have repeatedly called through official correspondences, statements and press conferences to address the issue and abolish the biological and applied system and return to the scientific and literary system." He added, He pointed out that the philosophy of education in Iraq should be subject to the culture of society and be compatible with it and not separate from it in any way, but the (biological and applied) system has proven its failure to achieve this philosophy through the central admission systems of Iraqi universities and revealed the negative separation between education policy makers between the two ministries Education and higher education and the lack of coordination between them. Al-Muhammadawi congratulated all those who are enthusiastic about reforming the educational system in Iraq, especially the abolition of (biological and applied) and the return to the (scientific and literary) system, thanking all the benevolent efforts that sought and supported his idea and proposals.
