    Today, Sunday, Minister of Oil Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar announced the launch of a gas investment project in the fields of Nasiriyah and Al-Gharraf, stressing that the government has supported all oil projects.
    Abdul-Jabbar said in his speech during the project launch ceremony in Dhi Qar Governorate, that "after waiting for more than three years of continuous work for South Gas, the gas investment project was launched in the fields of Nasiriyah and Al-Gharraf," stressing that it is an "important economic step."
    He added that "the gas investment projects will contribute to the development and provision of job opportunities, and they are among the sustainable development projects and the investment of Iraqi energies, as well as the multiple sources of revenue for the general budget."
    He pointed out that "the government supported all oil projects," noting that "the gas investment project in the Nasiriyah and Al-Gharraf fields was supposed to start in 2018, but it was delayed until today, so we need to continue working."
    "The government is fully prepared to provide all facilities," he added.

    Today, Monday, the Ministry of Oil revealed the details of the gas investment project associated with oil operations in the fields of Nasiriyah and Al-Gharraf in Dhi Qar Governorate, while determining the size of what it will add.
    The ministry’s spokesman, Assem Jihad, told Al-Iraqiya News, followed by the “National News Center”: “The gas investment project in the fields of Nasiriyah and Al-Gharraf in Dhi Qar Governorate is one of the projects that the Ministry of Oil has been working on for quite some time, as it is one of the most important projects in the associated gas investment sector.” for oil operations and converting it into useful energy that supplies power stations.”
    He added, "The project will provide 200 million standard cubic feet per day," noting that "the contract was signed with Baker Hughes, which has worked since the beginning of this year to prepare designs, as it will establish a gas investment plant in Dhi Qar Governorate."
    He pointed out that "the project will also provide job opportunities for local contractors and citizens," stressing that "it will enter into force within 30 months."
    He pointed out that "the gas invested in this project will fill part of the local need for electric power plants," noting that "Iraq is currently importing 750 million standard cubic feet per day to meet the local need of gas."
    And he continued, "The ministry has several projects for gas investment, including a group of projects that will be implemented by Total, which will provide approximately 600 million standard cubic feet per day, and this was preceded by a contract with the Chinese State Company for Gas Investment in Maysan Governorate, as well as projects in Basra Governorate, all of which It will provide good quantities of gas to the country.”
    Yesterday, the Ministry of Oil announced the launch of a gas investment project in the Nassiriya and Gharraf fields.
