The Central Bank of Iraq's currency sales rose, on Monday, to record 219 million dollars.
The Central Bank witnessed, during its auction for buying and selling the US dollar, an increase in its sales by 14.06% to reach 219 million, and 648 thousand and 789 US dollars covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to yesterday, Sunday, which sales amounted to 192 million and 863 thousand and $411 USD.
The purchases amounting to 169 million and 498 thousand and 789 dollars went to strengthening balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, while the remaining amount of 50 million and 150 thousand dollars went in cash.
Earlier, economists published a list of the latest dollar exchange rates on the Iraqi Stock Exchange and banking offices today, Monday.
According to the list seen by NRT Arabia (September 20, 2021), the price of the dollar witnessed a slight decrease, and it came as follows:
