The Ministry of Electricity announced, on Monday, that sustaining the momentum of the production stations' work needs two important measures, while noting that the plan to raise production includes three stages.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Moussa, said, according to the official media, that "the ministry needs to ensure a fuel pipeline, and it needs to rehabilitate the gas fields in order to be able to maintain the momentum of the production stations' work and raise production rates."
Moussa added that "the ministry has developed a five-year plan with short, medium and long terms, which includes that the ingredients are available within a year to add from 5,000 to 6,000 megawatts next summer, while the medium plan includes adding 12,000 megawatts for solar energy projects and electrical interconnection projects, and in the long term." We reach 45,000 megawatts."
He continued, "This plan entails working on developing the transport sector and establishing new transformational stations, and there are also many stations that have been brought into service, which are transformational stations, whether they are 400 or 132, taking into account the establishment of transmission lines."
Moussa stated that "the Ministry of Electricity intends to take great steps within the mentioned ranges, provided that the ingredients represented by the fuel plan, the necessary funds and time ceilings are available." Ended 29/A43
