The Ministry of Finance announced, on Monday, the start of paying the salaries of civil and military retirees for the month of October.
The ministry said in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News", that it "instructed the Ministry of Finance today, Monday, 4/10/2021, to launch the National Retirement Authority to raise the salaries of civil and military retirees for the month of October and as of tomorrow."
The ministry confirmed that "the departments of Al-Rasheed and Al-Rafidain Banks have completed the procedures for paying the salaries of civil and military retirees for the current month through electronic payment cards."
In its statement, the ministry denied "all the news circulating through the media and social networking sites regarding the delay in releasing salaries and the lack of liquidity, as the delay coincided with the National Day holiday of the Republic of Iraq."
The ministry recommended "to exercise accuracy and caution in transmitting news and adopting news and information through the ministry's website and its pages on the social networking sites Facebook and Twitter."
