The Foreign Ministry stated, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein received today a copy of the credentials of Martin Jaegh, Germany's ambassador to Baghdad, and then they discussed relations between Iraq and Germany, and ways to upgrade them to meet the ambitions of Both peoples."
The minister praised "Germany's supportive stances for Iraq, especially the assistance it provided in the war against ISIS terrorist gangs," calling on "German companies to invest, especially in infrastructure reconstruction projects."
The minister affirmed his support for the new ambassador's efforts to strengthen relations between Baghdad and Berlin and develop bilateral cooperation to achieve common interests, wishing the ambassador success in his work duties, and the ministry will provide all facilities to the diplomatic mission.
