The Kurdistan Democratic Party announces the start of consultations with the Iraqi political forces that won the elections
Party leader Hoshyar Zebari said in a joint press conference held with committee members Mahmoud Muhammad and Jaafar Eminki in Erbil and attended by Shafak News Agency correspondent, that among our strategy in the election campaign we avoided confrontation with other parties and focused on how voters go to the polls.
He pointed out that the party began consultations with most of the Iraqi political forces that won the elections, and very soon we will form our delegation to go to Baghdad to discuss naming the three presidencies, and forming the new federal government, adding: On the other hand, we will discuss with the Kurdish parties as well, because we certainly want to work as a team .
He also said that the electoral process went smoothly and regularly and the speed of announcing the results is important to prevent tampering with the results, adding that: the coming period will be important and we hope that there will be no government vacuum and the speedy formation of the government by the winning political blocs.
And the formation of the new federal government, Zebari said that its formation "may be easier because there are winning blocs, and understanding between them will be easier."
The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party continued by saying that "our relationship with all Shiite and Sunni parties is open, and with the Sadrist movement, we were in contact yesterday, and with other blocs, and we do not have lines of intersection, and currently we are in the stage of feeling the pulse," noting that "previously we had understandings, but we cannot We have to say who we will ally with, and there are major blocs."
