TEHRAN, Oct. 19 - Iranian Presidential Assistant in Legal Affairs Mohammad Dehghan considered the deep joints with Iraq as a suitable ground for developing relations between the two countries in various fields.
During his meeting with Iraqi Minister of Justice Salar Abdul Sattar Muhammad and the accompanying delegation in Tehran on Monday, Dehghan said that one of the manifestations of brotherhood and friendship between the two peoples is mutual visits with the aim of visiting the holy shrines of the pure imams (peace be upon them) in both countries.
He pointed out that Iran considers Iraq's victories and successes a victory and success for it, considering the mixture of the blood of the Iranian and Iraqi martyrs, led by the two martyrs, Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, in confronting terrorists and defending the shrines of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon him) as a valuable evidence of the depth of ties between the two countries.
The Assistant to the President in Legal and Legal Affairs also proposed the establishment of a regional arbitration court.
For his part, the Iraqi Minister of Justice praised the historical and deep relations between the Iranian and Iraqi peoples with fluctuations during the Saddam era, and considered the high level of political relations and trade and economic exchange between Iran and Iraq necessitating raising the level of legal and judicial relations between them.
Abdul Sattar Muhammad welcomed the proposal of the Iranian president’s assistant to establish a regional arbitration court with the participation of the countries of the region, and expressed regret that many Western courts, in addition to receiving exorbitant sums of money to decide on legal cases for our countries against Western parties, act with bias in many cases, so Iraq will be the first A country that supports the implementation of this proposal in practice.
