    Private / National News Center
Today, Monday, the Oil Exploration Company attributed the reasons for not proceeding quickly in investing newly discovered gas in the Western Desert, by seismic teams, to the lack of financial financing.
The company's director, Basem Muhammad Khudair, told the National News Center that "there are large quantities of gas present in the Western Desert that were discovered during the last period, by seismic teams."
He added that "these quantities will be invested if financial allocations are available from the government, especially since this project is part of the new plan prepared by the Ministry of Oil."
Khudair stressed, "The seismic survey teams continue to work and will not stop for the success of the plan for the period from 2022 to 2023, despite the presence of difficult challenges and major obstacles," explaining that "the work of the seismic teams is based on two evaluation and development stages to improve the reality of the Iraqi economy."
