Planning announces a decrease in the monthly inflation rate and an annual rise in Iraq
In a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, the Ministry's Central Statistics Agency said that "the inflation rate for the month of September decreased by (0.7%), compared to the previous month of August," noting that "the annual inflation rate compared to September of last year 2020, witnessed an increase at a rate of (7.3%).
He added, that the Central Bureau of Statistics, through the Index Numbers Section, prepares a monthly report on consumer price indices, which includes field follow-up of price variables, for more than (333) goods and services in all governorates, representing (88%) of the volume of spending. The statement indicated that the commodity totals, which had the highest increase in monthly prices for the month of September compared to August of the year 2021, the Health Department and the Restaurants and Hotels Department recorded an increase of 0.2 percent, and the Department of Supplies, Household Equipment and Maintenance recorded an increase due to the increase in the group of household appliances by 0.3 percent in Monthly rate of change.
He pointed out that the clothing, shoes, entertainment and culture department recorded an increase of 0.1%.
