Centre for the Iraq media network IMN))-the Commerce Department said
that the mechanism of strategic storage of the ration card items will be
resolved after the approval of the budget in coordination with the
General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
The Director
said the Commerce Department information FAWZIYA Hamid (IMN) that "the
Ministry lifted the machinery recently prepared for the provision of
strategic stocks of the ration card items to the General Secretariat of
the Council of Ministers and is awaiting approval of a budget
resolution.
"The Ministry has prepared warehouses and granaries
in central provinces to facilitate the process, when the budget will be
passed immediately activate such procedures and mechanisms for the
Treasury Department to avoid strategic crises."
The Commerce Ministry has formed committees to develop mechanisms to provide strategic stocks of food.
The

distributed four million and 400,000 tons of wheat and 1 million tons
rice and 800,000 tons of sugar and 500, 000 tons of infant formula and
600,000 tons of edible oil
