{Local: Al Furat News} The Federal Integrity Commission continues to check the priorities of the predecessors granted by the "dissolved" provincial councils that have not been settled, while it announced the number of relevant penal cases referred to the judiciary from its office in Karbala
And the Commission’s Investigation Department stated, in a statement to which {Euphrates News} received a copy, “It reported continuing investigation efforts and field work related to seizure operations in the commission’s investigation directorates and offices in Baghdad and the provinces, and checking the advances that have not been settled until now, granted by the boards of directors. The governorates that were dissolved in 2019,” indicating that “control operations will be implemented if those priorities include financial irregularities that cause a waste of public money.”
In this regard, the department indicated that “the Commission’s Karbala Investigation Office conducted investigations and investigations into (100) criminal cases related to the failure to conduct settlement for the advances disbursed by the provincial council,” noting that “the investigations and audits conducted by the office led to the seizure of the original Documents of advances disbursed by the accounts department in the provincial council.

It is noteworthy that "the authority had directed its directorates and investigation offices to escalate the pace of investigation and field work related to seizure operations and to check the priorities of the advances granted by the dissolved provincial councils that have not yet been settled, despite the termination of the work of those councils, and the implementation of seizures in the event that they include priorities Those advances made any financial irregularities that cause the waste of public money.”
