    The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Monday, the seizure of violations worth 16 billion dinars in the contract for the construction of a power plant.  
    The investigations department of the authority said in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, "The field team of the Dhi Qar investigation office took a quick action, after information was available that there was a waste of public money and violations in the contract to establish an electric power plant in the governorate, which resulted in the seizure of priorities. of the project, as well as the report of the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau, which included a number of observations that prevent the delivery of the project.  
    The department added that "the team diagnosed negligence and negligence by the beneficiary department (Ur Company) and the project executing agency (the General Company for Electrical Industries) that led to wastage in the contract valued at (16,637,600,000) billion dinars," indicating that "the project did not It is completed, despite its referral in 2011 with a completion period of (14) months, due to the delay in implementation, and the lack of supervision and serious follow-up to the implementation process.”  
    And she continued, "The violations were represented in paying 90% of the contract value upon signing, and the failure of any party as a result of the damage to the station after it was burned, in addition to not claiming the delay fines owed by the company to which the project was transferred, in addition to (3,327.5 billion) dinars." The initial partial handover of the project, although the contract stipulates the delivery of the project after its complete completion (turnkey).  
    She pointed out that "there were 46 observations that prevented receiving the project, as indicated by the report of the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau, including the lack of requirements and conditions for occupational safety and firefighting materials, and this was one of the reasons for the station's burning, while the investigative papers were presented to the competent investigative judge, who decided to write down statements; The legal representative of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, and conducting an administrative investigation by the Ministry.
