    Today, Tuesday, the Council of Ministers held its regular session, headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, where the Council discussed the topics on its agenda, and the Council took a number of decisions regarding them.
    The media office of the Prime Minister said, in a statement received by “Progress” a copy of it, that “the Council of Ministers held, today, Tuesday, its regular session, headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, during which the developments of events were discussed, as well as the topics included in its agenda.”
    At the beginning of the session, the Prime Minister praised the Supreme Judicial Council and the judges, in the case of the verdict against the killers of the martyr Ahmed Abdel Samad and the martyr Safa Ghali, and indicated that he had pledged before the Iraqi people, and since the formation of the government, to pursue the killers of activists, journalists and innocent citizens, and to emphasize that they would not escape from punishment.
    Al-Kazemi confirmed that the groups involved in the killing were pursued, and we succeeded in arresting the killers of the martyr Hisham Al-Hashemi and Ahmed Abdul-Samad, and his sovereignty stressed the continuation with all force to pursue all the killers and everyone involved in Iraqi blood, and the Prime Minister affirmed in this regard support for the independence of the Iraqi judiciary, and that The goal is not revenge, but rather to achieve justice, and to ensure the security of citizens.
    He concluded his speech by referring to the promises made by the government and committed to their implementation, especially with regard to holding early elections, prosecuting murderers and criminals, economic reforms and others.
    In the context of the session, the epidemiological report, the measures taken to confront the Corona pandemic, and the developments in the work of the Committee to Strengthen Government Actions in the areas of prevention and health awareness control were reviewed. To limit the spread of the virus, and the efforts of the Ministry of Health to confront the pandemic, and to secure the vaccine for all citizens.
    After discussing the topics on the agenda, the Council of Ministers issued the following decisions:
    First / Amending paragraph (1) of Cabinet Resolution (71 of 2016), regarding the controls for distributing housing and kiosks to the poor, to become as follows:
    1- Economic housing:
    a- The government bears (100%) of the cost of the housing unit, and grants it to the beneficiary (poor families) free of charge.
    B - The amount of (35662000000) dinars, only thirty-five billion six hundred and sixty-two million dinars, owed by the beneficiary families from the distribution of housing to the poor, based on the provisions of Article (46) of the amended Federal Financial Management Law (6 of 2019), and a decision Cabinet (28 of 2020).

    Second, the Council of Ministers hosted the Governor of Basra to discuss the progress of the implementation of the Basra Pipeline Water Project, and to amend the first paragraph of Cabinet Resolution (187 for the year 2021), which is related to the project’s bid’ah channel.
    Third / Approval of the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy No. (129 of 2021).
    Fourth / Allocating the Ministry of Finance (3,000,000) dinars, only three billion dinars, to the Traffic Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, from the emergency reserve for the fiscal year / 2021, based on the provisions of Article (5) of Law (23 of 2021), the Federal General Budget Law for the year Finance / 2021, to support the national project in providing services to citizens, and expediting the completion of their traffic transactions at vehicle registration complexes in Baghdad and the governorates.
    Fifth / The Ministry of Finance allocates (3 billion) dinars, only three billion dinars, from the emergency reserve for the fiscal year / 2021, to the Ministry of Water Resources / the General Authority for the Operation of Irrigation and Drainage Projects, for the purpose of maintaining pumping stations and cleaning and disinfecting the intakes of the stations to treat the drop in water levels due to Scarcity, based on the provisions of Article (5) of the General Federal Budget Law for the fiscal year/2021.
