ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - Today, Monday, the Iraqi Minister of Finance signed a decision to send 203 billion dinars to the Kurdistan Region, after the efforts made by the Prime Minister of the Regional Government, Masrour Barzani.
Of this amount, there is 200 billion from the region's budget share in the general budget of the federal government, which is a constitutional right for the Kurdistan Region, and 3 billion to compensate those affected by the floods and torrents of Erbil, and it was approved to be sent after contacts between Masrour Barzani and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
A source told Kurdistan 24 that the amount will reach the Ministry of Finance in the regional government tomorrow.
Granting and distributing the salaries of the region's employees began last week, and salaries will continue to be paid with the arrival of the amount from the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
