{Economic: Al Furat News} The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb, stressed to the Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Reza Günay, on Tuesday, the need to adhere to the laws against money laundering and terrorist financing.
And the Central Bank said in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, "The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq received the Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Ali Reza Günay and his accompanying delegation from Turkish banks.
During the meeting, it was emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in the banking sector between the two friendly countries." .
The statement added, "The governor expressed the Central Bank of Iraq's keenness to provide the best facilities to Turkish banks operating in Iraq, and his desire to open branches for Iraqi banks in Turkey, and the importance of reciprocity in providing those services and facilities."
And he indicated, "The fruitful cooperation between the two countries has positive economic repercussions due to the large volume of trade exchange between the two countries, with the need to adhere to anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws."
