The Director-General of the Organization for Quality Standards in Ilam province, southwest of Iran, Mahnaz Hemmati, announced that 53,494 tons of standard goods had been exported to Iraq through Mehran International Borders from March 21 until the end of last October.
Hemmati added, "The main commodities exported under the supervision and control of this organization during the mentioned period included building stones, iron ore, types of tiles, rebar, chemicals, and auto spare parts."
The border city of Mehran is located 85 km southwest of the Iranian city of Ilam.
