The ambassador’s clarification came, following statements, a few days ago, by the Director of the Legal Department in the Iraqi Ministry of Justice, Hanan Munther Nassif, that “the prosecution has now begun to file cases in Jordan, because it is the country that has the most seized funds that are required to be returned to Iraq and are pending before the judiciary.”
