The Central Bank of Iraq's foreign remittances exceed $160 million
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank witnessed an increase in foreign remittances despite a decrease in its sales in general by 6.93% to reach 188 million, and 163 thousand and 471 US dollars covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars. per dollar, compared to yesterday, Wednesday, when sales amounted to 202 million 352 thousand and 15 US dollars.
Our correspondent noted; That most of the bank's sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 163 million and 943 thousand and 471 dollars, while the remaining amount of 24 million and 220 thousand dollars went in cash.
Our correspondent indicated that 25 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, 8 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 126 mediation companies.
