Al-Mutairi said in a statement received by Mawazine News, "The flashes of the meeting of His Eminence the Leader Muqtada Al-Sadr with the leaders of the coordination framework in the house of Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri, is his call for a national majority government, the fight against corruption, and the accountability of the corrupt in all governments."
He added: "His Eminence al-Sadr stressed that if the leaders of the framework wish to enter the government, they must hand over the weapons of the armed factions to the Popular Mobilization and hold the corrupt accountable."
He explained that "Al-Sadr did not go to Mr. Al-Amiri's house for the sake of government understandings, but rather to block the pretext for those who say that civil peace may be in danger."
The head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mutairi, added,
He continued: "His Eminence also mentioned that the religious authority in Iraq has not met with politicians for a long time, which indicates their dissatisfaction with the political blocs."
Al-Mutairi concluded: "Al-Sadr called on everyone, saying, "Let us send a fatherly message, love and apology to the reference and the people, and let us present a government of a national political majority to save Iraq."
