{Local: Al Furat News} The President of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, discussed today, Sunday, with the Finnish Ambassador to Iraq Matti Lasila, the intensification of coordination and cooperation to confront the threat of terrorism.
A statement by the Presidency of the Kurdistan Government received {Euphrates News} said that "the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received today, Sunday, the Finnish ambassador to Iraq, Matti Lassila, and they discussed the general situation in Iraq, as well as ways to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and Finland." 
 
The Prime Minister thanked Finland for its support of the Peshmerga forces within the framework of the international coalition against ISIS, especially in the field of military training. He also stressed the need to intensify coordination and cooperation between the international community to confront the threats of ISIS terrorists in the Kurdish regions outside the administration of the region.
The Finnish ambassador referred to the positive role of the Kurdish community in Finland, and expressed his country's desire to continue expanding the horizons of relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, especially in trade and investment exchange.
