The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, said: Our heroic air forces carried out a successful operation against the hideouts of the terrorist organization ISIS in Anbar, and operations will continue to uproot this organization from its roots in Iraq.
And he added, in a tweet on Twitter, that "there are always those who try through weapons to terrorize the state, but the state, with its institutions and people, is standing by," warning that "no one is above its decision and no weapon is outside its control."
Meanwhile, Al-Kazemi discussed joint security and economic coordination with the British Kingdom, while pointing out that the local security services are continuing to protect the property of Christian citizens and preserve their legal rights.
A statement by the Prime Ministry stated that Al-Kazemi received a phone call from British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, during which they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them in the political, economic and investment fields, and joint coordination to end the combative role of the international coalition, in addition to discussing developments in the region and the role of Iraq in strengthening stability.
The statement added that "the contact also discussed the future of cooperation between the two countries in the war against terrorism, the pursuit of ISIS remnants, security coordination between Baghdad and London, and the transition of the international coalition to the role of advice, assistance and empowerment, in a manner that enhances security and stability in Iraq and the region."
During his reception, His Beatitude Mar Awa III Ruel, on the occasion of his inauguration as head of the Assyrian Church of the East in Iraq and the world, the Prime Minister said: “Government agencies are making all efforts to preserve the property of Iraqi Christians and their legal rights, as is their duty towards the property and belongings of all Iraqis, whether they are in their country or abroad.”
He added that "Iraq is proud of all its authentic components and sects, including the Christian spectrum, whose presence in the land of Mesopotamia extends to the depths of history," expressing his hope for His Beatitude the Patriarch to "success in his duties, and in a manner that enhances the rich diversity in which the land of Iraq is rich, and the need to preserve This diversity.
