    Today, Monday, the General Company for Ports of Iraq discussed with the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company “SOMO” export and import mechanisms.
    The company stated in a statement received by the "National News Center", that it met with the delegation of the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company "SOMO", and the meeting was attended by the Assistant Director-General for Technical Affairs, Chief Engineer Ahmed Jassim Naim, and the Administrative Assistant, Captain Adel Ali Dasher, the Company's Revenues and Wages Committee, and a number of managers departments and ports, and the two parties discussed the mechanisms for importing and exporting oil derivatives through Iraq’s ports.”

    The technical assistant said, according to the statement, that "as a company, we work according to the directives of the Minister of Transport, Captain Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli, and the Director General of Ports, Dr. Eng. Farhan Muhaisin Al-Fartousi, and in cooperation with government agencies, and this matter gives impetus to increasing production."
    For his part, the administrative assistant added that "as government agencies, we work for the benefit of the country by drawing up a future oil policy to increase the state's public revenue and provide oil derivatives to citizens."
    While the delegation of the Sumo company expressed "thanks and appreciation for the cooperation and the great welcome shown by the ports of Iraq," calling for "more cooperation to serve the country."
