    Today, Tuesday, the Council of Ministers held its regular session, headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, where the Council discussed the topics on its agenda, and the Council took a number of decisions regarding them.
    The media office of the Prime Minister said, in a statement received by “Progress” a copy of it, that “the Council of Ministers held, today, Tuesday, its regular session, headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, during which the developments of events were discussed, as well as the topics included in its agenda.”
    At the beginning of the session, the Council of Ministers expressed its condemnation of the cowardly terrorist incident that took place in Basra province today, and vowed to pursue the perpetrators and punish them, asking God Almighty for mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs, and a speedy recovery for the wounded.
    The Prime Minister directed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to conduct quick investigations to uncover the executor and planner of the cowardly terrorist bombing that targeted our safe sons in Basra, and his sovereignty stressed the security services to double the intelligence effort in all governorates.
    The Cabinet session witnessed a discussion of a number of files in various fields related to providing services to citizens.
    The epidemiological report, the measures taken to confront the Corona pandemic, and the developments in the work of the Committee to Strengthen Government Actions in the areas of prevention and health awareness control were also reviewed. To limit the spread of the virus, government efforts to confront the pandemic, provide the necessary medical supplies, and secure vaccines through vaccination outlets spread throughout the governorates.
    After discussing the topics on the agenda, the Council of Ministers issued the following decisions:
    First / authorizing ministries and agencies not affiliated with a ministry to continue contracting to implement their annual plan until December 31, 2021, instead of December 15, 2021.
    Second / Approval of authorizing the Minister of Finance the authority to borrow from the Trade Bank of Iraq, the details of which are set out in the Trade Bank of Iraq letter No. (288) dated November 24, 2021, at an amount of $76,000,000, only seventy-six million dollars, to finance the Samawah Water Project, based on To the provisions of Article (2/Second/Deficit/2/p), of the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal year 2021.
    Third / The Ministry of Finance / Accounting Department allocates an amount of 1 billion dinars, only one billion dinars, to the Ministry of Health from the emergency reserve for the year 2021, based on the provisions of Article (5) of the Federal General Budget Law of the Republic of Iraq for the fiscal year / 2021, to complete the requirements of the Najaf Teaching Hospital.
    Fourth / Approval of the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy (155 of 2021) regarding urgent measures to address the water scarcity / installation of Lake Tharthar pumps as follows:
    - Approval of the implementation of Cabinet Resolution (343 of 2018) from the emergency reserve / 2021, regarding the allocation of the Ministry of Finance 300,000,000 dinars , only three billion dinars to the Ministry of Water Resources, based on the provisions of Article (5) of the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal year 2021.

    Fifth: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to take appropriate measures to encourage Iraqi citizens within the borders of Poland, Latvia and Lithuania, who were forced by circumstances to migrate outside Iraq, to ​​return home, and to provide them with all facilities and assistance.
