[size=45]The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, on Thursday, announced a new directive regarding the category of people with disabilities who benefit from social protection.[/size]
[size=45]The ministry said in a statement that its Minister, Adel Al-Rikabi, "directed to simplify the procedures for the category of people with disabilities who benefit from social protection for the annual statement, by approving their medical reports without asking them for a new medical examination."[/size]
[size=45]The statement quoted Al-Rikabi as saying, "This category requires special attention as a result of its exceptional situation," stressing that "communicating with citizens of this category, facilitating review procedures and completing their requests."[/size]
[size=45]Al-Rikabi also directed, according to the statement, the Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities to “form a committee to follow up on the entitlements of people with disabilities in all ministries and government institutions,” stressing “not to stop the salary of the disabled benefiting from social protection and to facilitate the procedures for installment payments for those who received additional amounts from the accumulator.”[/size]
