The 36th session of the Arab Executive Office for Electricity will be held at the ministerial level in the Arab League next Thursday
The meetings of the session will be preceded by the twelfth meeting of the Working Group for the Study of the Comprehensive Arab Electrical Interconnection, the twenty-ninth meeting of the Steering Committee in charge of following up the study of the Comprehensive Arab Electrical Interconnection, and the fourth joint meeting of the Committee of Electricity Experts and the Committee of Experts on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency from Arab Countries, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
And the accompanying meetings will be attended by representatives from Arab countries and the Arab Regional Authority in the field of electricity.”
According to the seventh day, “the meeting of the Executive Office will be at the ministerial level, in which the member states of the Executive Office will participate, namely Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Mauritania and Yemen.”
The Director of Energy Department at the Arab League, Jamila Matar, pointed out the importance of this meeting and the topics that it will discuss, especially the developments of the governance documents of the Arab Common Electricity Market, the rules for operating networks and the institutional framework of the Arab Common Electricity Market, as well as issues of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the Arab countries. / End 2[/rtl]
