The head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, received today, Tuesday, the delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, headed by Hoshyar Zebari, while stressing the importance of national consensus to get out of the current crisis.
A statement by his office, of which Al-Nour News received a copy, stated that "the developments of the political and security scene in the country were discussed, as well as the repercussions of the election results crisis and the problems that accompanied it."
Al-Maliki stressed, "the importance of national consensus as the way out of the current crisis, stressing the convergence of views between the political forces, and work to coordinate positions in preparation for the entitlements of the next stage."
He called the head of the State of Law coalition, to consider seriously and objectively the complaints and appeals submitted to the Federal Court before ratifying the election results.
For his part, Hoshyar Zebari praised the positions of the head of the State of Law coalition, in converging views and working in the service of Iraq and the Iraqis, stressing that the KDP's vision is moving in the same direction, while calling for continued dialogues to find solutions to end the current political blockage.
