Iraq ranks second in the list of countries that buy most homes in Turkey
Shafaq News/ The Turkish Statistics Authority announced, on Tuesday, that Iraqis ranked second as the most people buying real estate in Turkey during the month of last November.
The authority said in a report seen by Shafak News Agency, "House sales in Turkey to foreigners increased by 48.4% last November compared to the same month of the previous year, and became 7,363 homes, and Istanbul got the highest share of 2,922 home sales to foreigners, and Antalya in Second place with sales of 1917 houses, then Ankara with 428 houses.
And she added, "Turkey sold, during the period from January to November, 50,735 homes to foreigners, with an increase of 39.4%."
And she pointed out that "the Iranians topped the rest of the countries in buying real estate in Turkey during the month of last November, with 1406 houses, and Iraq came in second place, where they bought 1075 houses, and Russia came third with 836 houses, and Germany came fourth with 322 houses, and Kazakhstan came fifth with 278 houses." .
Iraqis have topped the list of home purchases in Turkey since 2015, but they fell to second place after Iran at the beginning of the current year 2021 before returning again to first place last May, while Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu announced on November 13, 2020, that More than 114 thousand Iraqis are now present on the territory of his country.
