Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Electricity announced the provision of financial allocations to transfer metrology readers to Resolution 315, while indicating positive signs for transferring a certain category of contracts to their owners.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Moussa, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency and followed by "Economy News", that "a study was prepared by the ministry regarding the readers of metrology, as it was submitted to the General Secretariat and to the Prime Minister's Office, and we demanded to transfer them from Resolution 341 to Resolution 315." , stressing, "The ministry is about to raise this issue vigorously at the cabinet meeting."
He added, "The ministry is able to provide financial allocations through the central collection dues in order to transfer the readers of measurements like their peers, and we mentioned this in the book submitted to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers."
With regard to transferring contracts to permanent owners, he explained, "The decisions of the Council of Ministers stipulated that whoever has a service of 5 years or more, is transferred to an owner, and committees were formed and studied all files, and we were able to transfer about 6,892 people to permanent owners."
He continued, "The Ministry of Electricity addressed the General Secretariat regarding those who have sporadic or intermittent service in the ministry or who have service outside the electricity departments, and it could be 5 years, and we also wrote to the General Secretariat of the Legal Department in order to convert them into owners," noting, that "There are positive signs from the General Department of the possibility of turning them into owners."
