Sales of the Central Bank of Iraq from the US dollar currency decreased, in the currency auction, today, Tuesday, to reach 198 million dollars.
Today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank witnessed a decrease in its dollar sales by 2.46% to reach 198 million and 385 thousand and 179 US dollars covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to yesterday, Monday, in which sales amounted to 203 million And 192,599 dollars.
Most of the bank's sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, amounting to 140 million and 545 thousand and 179 dollars, while the remaining amount of 57 million and 840 thousand dollars went in cash.
And 25 banks fulfilled requests to enhance balances abroad, 20 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 262 intermediary companies.
