The General Authority of Customs announced today, Wednesday, that its revenues for the year 2021 increased by 15% compared to 2020.
The authority stated in a statement received by / Mawazine News, that the revenues of "this year 2021 amounted to (1001413859817) trillion and one billion four hundred and thirteen One million eight hundred and fifty-nine thousand eight hundred and seventeen dinars, while the revenue of 2020 was (863161392512) eight hundred and sixty-three billion one hundred and sixty-one million three hundred and ninety-two thousand five hundred and twelve dinars.
And she continued, "The directives of Director General Shaker Mahmoud Al-Zubaidi after assuming the position had a significant impact on the increase in revenues in most of its customs centers, as it recorded a qualitative leap for the year 2021, with an increase of 15% over the year 2020, despite the short period during which the Director General assumed the presidency of the authority."
And she added, "After the approval of its general manager, all the differences in customs duties on companies were reviewed, the large part of which was met, as well as confirmation and continuous follow-up on the safety of conducting a thorough examination of the consignments received in the country, which led to the achievement of high revenues."
The authority confirmed, "It is continuing to redouble efforts to raise revenues to double the amounts achieved through the plan prepared to supplement the state treasury with financial resources." Ended 29/N33
