The General Authority of Customs issued a statement today, Wednesday, in which it responded to what was reported by some media outlets regarding what it said was "incorrect information and has nothing to do with reality."
The statement received by Mawazine News stated: "The General Authority of Customs would like to show that all customs duties collection processes in all its departments are in accordance with official documents and receipts subject to oversight and scrutiny, which are entered as revenue in the state treasury, in addition to announcing the volume of customs revenue achieved between now and then. And the other and the accompanying clear rise in the volume of those revenues, especially in the last period of 2021, and it also sought to significantly develop its infrastructure.”
The authority added in its statement, "Therefore, some media outlets had to be accurate and credible in transmitting information from their reliable official sources, and to be a helpful and encouraging factor for state departments that support the public treasury." Ended 29/N33
