    Today, Sunday, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, stressed the importance of ending the file of vital projects in the liberated areas.
    And the secretariat stated in a statement received by "Economy News", that "the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, discussed with the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program in Iraq, Zina Ahmed, the latest developments in the work of the program and the projects implemented in the liberated areas."
    The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers stressed, according to the statement, "the need to end this vital and important file, and restore the stability effort to the liberated areas, by implementing the most important projects within the educational, health, and infrastructure sectors to secure a decent life for citizens."
    The statement added, "The two sides discussed preparations for the opening of a number of projects implemented in the governorates of Nineveh and Kirkuk, after they were rehabilitated by the program in coordination between the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and donor countries, in addition to preparing for holding an international conference for the Steering Committee, to review what was accomplished during the previous phase." According to the plan.
    He continued, "The two parties discussed during the meeting the possibility of the program's contribution to developing the e-governance program and the digital exchange mechanism, in addition to joint work on the program to combat violent extremism and promoting community reconciliation, and holding workshops and training courses to develop skills for the Iraqi side."
    For her part, the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program in Iraq praised the role of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, extending the program until 2023, and releasing the second batch of funds allocated by the Iraqi government to support the program in implementing projects to rehabilitate the liberated areas.
