, the Federal Integrity Commission revealed, on Tuesday, the total funds sentenced to be refunded for cases of illegal gain for the year 2021; Based on its amended Law No. (30 of 2011).
The legal department of the authority said, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "the total amounts of illicit gain issued in respect of which court rulings included the return of illicit gain from movable and immovable funds belonging to the convicts, whose value amounted to (26,215,000) million dollars, and (2,716,000,000) dollars." billion dinars.
The department added, "Resolute and distinguished efforts made by the department, in cooperation with the investigation and prevention departments in the authority, resulted in the recovery of the aforementioned sums."
It is noteworthy that Article 19 / Fourth of the amended Law No. 30 of 2011 of the Integrity and Illicit Gain Commission stipulates that “the court shall rule to refund the value of the illicit gain. Paying the amount of the fine and refunding the value of the illegal gain, and the expiry of the criminal case in death does not preclude the implementation of the judgment refunding the value of the illegal gain.
