[size=45]On Thursday, the General Directorate of Tourism in Garmian, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, announced the number of tourists who flocked to the region during the past year 2021.[/size]
[size=45]The directorate said in a statement received by Shafak News Agency; The last year witnessed the visit of (410) thousand and (829) tourists to the Garmian region.[/size]
[size=45]The statement added that (8) thousand and (754) of the total visitors decided to stay overnight in the tourist areas, and that (3500) of them came from Iran, while the rest came from the central and southern regions of Iraq.[/size]
[size=45]The statement indicated that "the number of tourists increased by (45%), compared to the year 2020."[/size]
