The economic expert, Nabil Jabbar Al-Ali, revealed, on Saturday, that the total salaries of the three presidencies in the budget of last year amounted to more than 350 billion Iraqi dinars, indicating that the budget of the presidencies exceeds the budget of an entire governorate.
Al-Ali said in a statement to “Information” that “the problem lies in the other sovereign allocations and expenses of the three presidencies,” noting that “the total salaries and allocations for the three presidencies amount to approximately 350 billion dinars annually (equivalent to 235 million dollars) and represent approximately 0. 5% of the state budget.
He pointed out that "the total number of employees and positions in the three presidencies with an annual income rate of more than 60 million dinars per person, which is more than 5 million per month as a general average."
Al-Ali pointed out that “the principle of moral responsibility and social justice, in addition to reducing economic differences between state employees, and benefiting from the surplus to spend on humanitarian issues.”
