    {Sports: Al Furat News} The Ministers of Youth and Sports revealed, on Sunday, the reason for delaying the opening of the Al-Zawra and Al-Madina stadiums in the capital, Baghdad.

    The Director of the Media and Government Communications Department in the Ministry, Ali Al-Atwani, told Al-Furat News: "Two stadiums ready for the opening are just waiting for the opening ceremony. They are Al-Zawra and Al-Madina stadiums, and what delays the opening of these two stadiums is the preparation for the opening ceremony from an organizational point of view."
    He pointed out that "the continuous work and the advanced stages in the Kirkuk stadium, and by going over some simple observations, the opening of the stadiums will be officially announced."
    The Ministry of Youth and Sports had announced the completion of all preparations for the presentation of the city’s stadium, with a capacity of 32,000 spectators, in the most beautiful form, according to the international specifications approved by the International Football Association, for a large international friendly match in which the audience will be full in number according to the total capacity of the stadium.
    The new Al-Zawra stadium has a capacity of 16,000 spectators and an area of ​​23,000 square meters, a sports hall of 2,600 square metres, a recreational pool and a hotel for athletes, in addition to other facilities.
