During 2021... non-oil revenues will rise to 12 trillion Iraqi dinars
The economic expert, Manar Al-Obaidi, told Shafaq News Agency, "Non-oil revenues reached the highest growth rate in transfer revenues, reaching 5 trillion Iraqi dinars, after it was 391 billion Iraqi dinars in 2020 and 885 billion Iraqi dinars in 2019", adding that "the reasons that led To this rise in remittance revenue is unclear."
He continued, "As for the level of taxes on income and wealth, it increased by 20% compared to 2020 and 13% compared to 2019", explaining that "fee revenues also increased by 46% compared to 2020 and 18% compared to 2019".
Al-Obaidi stressed that "with this rise in non-oil revenues, it is expected that the total revenues of the Iraqi state will reach 102 trillion Iraqi dinars for the year 2021, and thus it may have achieved 101 percent of the planned in the 2021 budget, which estimated the Iraqi state's revenues at 101 trillion Iraqi dinars."
He pointed out that "Iraq has not been able to achieve a significant increase in revenues despite the rise in oil prices, due to the decline in non-oil revenues, which were planned to be 20 trillion Iraqi dinars."
