A significant decrease in dollar cash sales at the Central Bank of Iraq auction
Shafaq News/ The bank's cash sales of dollars in the Central Bank auction fell significantly today, Thursday, to reach 13 million dollars.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank witnessed a decrease in its dollar sales by 25% to reach 159 million and 105 thousand US dollars, which the bank covered at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to yesterday, Wednesday, In which sales amounted to 212 million and 727 thousand and 200 US dollars.
Our correspondent added that the bank's cash sales of dollars decreased significantly today to 13 million and 270 thousand dollars compared to the previous day, in which cash sales amounted to 81 million and 380 thousand dollars, while the remaining amount of 145 million and 835 thousand dollars went to strengthen balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits. .
Our correspondent indicated that 21 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, and 3 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 61 mediation companies.
