The National Security Adviser, Mr. Qassem Al-Araji, received in his office today, Monday, the Syrian Ambassador in Baghdad, Mr. Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah.
Al-Araji discussed with the Syrian ambassador the latest developments in the political and security situation at the regional and international levels, and joint cooperation in securing the borders between the two countries, as well as the Al-Hol border camp file.
Al-Araji assured the Syrian ambassador that Syria is part of the Arab nation and an extension of the Arab depth, and that its people have proven their steadfastness in the face of all conspiracies.
For his part, the Syrian ambassador indicated that Iraq is an important Arab weight and a safety valve for its Arab and regional surroundings.
